Sharjah's Pink Caravan Returns with Free Breast Cancer Screenings and Family Events

The Pink Caravan, an initiative by the Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), is returning to Al Jada in Sharjah for a three-day community event from October 10th to 12th. The program, running from 5 pm to 11 pm daily, is designed to be family-friendly and will offer a range of activities, including free breast cancer screenings. Attendees over 40 can also receive mammograms on a first-come, first-served basis.

This event is part of a larger national campaign that utilizes eight fixed clinics and a fleet of mobile units to provide thousands of free screenings across over 86 locations in the UAE. The initiative focuses on raising awareness about the importance of early detection through educational workshops that cover prevention, treatment, and the necessity of regular check-ups.

Beyond the Sharjah event, the Pink Caravan will also have a presence at other community gatherings, including the "Battle Cancer Challenge" at Dubai Sevens Stadium on October 25th and a cycling event with Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi on October 18th. These efforts aim to make screenings accessible and raise funds for the ongoing fight against cancer.
