RETURN OF EXPATRIATES TO QATAR, HOTEL QUARANTINE CROWDED

Doha: The hotel quarantine is crowded on the way back to Qatar. Lack of room availability will also put expatriates in crisis. Hotel quarantine room availability is declining due to the increasing number of expatriate families returning to Doha in the coming weeks after the midsummer break.

According to the revised quarantine policy for Indians, those who have been vaccinated by Covid in Qatar and those who have recovered from Covid must return to the hotel quarantine for two days and all other categories of passengers for ten days. At the same time, visitors who have not been vaccinated have no access to the country. Most Qatari expatriates and nationals who have completed the Qatar-approved Covid vaccination will be able to return home after traveling abroad on July 8.

But the arrival of the Delta virus and the daily increase in the number of Covid positives has led to the re-imposition of hotel quarantine for all travelers from six countries, including Covid-infested India.
