57,133 EXPATRIATES LEFT SAUDI ARABIA THIS YEAR

Riyadh: At the end of the second quarter of 2021, the General Authority for Statistics and the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) reported that 571333 expatriates had left their jobs and returned from the private and government sectors.


Gosi said it was 8.52 percent lower than the first quarter last year. The number of expatriates in the local labor market dropped from 6,706,459 at the end of June 2020 to 6,135,126 at the end of June this year.

Statistics show that the number of people using GOSI services has decreased by 5.46 per cent among both locals and foreigners working in the public and private sectors during this period.

The number of GOSI customers dropped from 8,674,105 at the end of the second quarter of 2020 to 8,199,723 at the end of the second quarter of this year.
