SHARJAH ANNOUNCES FREE PARKING TIME

Sharjah: Sharjah has announced free parking near mosques for Taraweeh prayers during the holy month of Ramadan (Ramadan 2022 in UAE). The announcement was made by Sharjah Municipality Director General Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji. Fees are applicable for public parking from 8 am to midnight. 


Extensive arrangements have been made for proper parking of cars in view of congestion. The government has also decided to deploy additional security personnel to prevent violations such as blocking of other vehicles and parking of cars. The Municipality of Sharjah has requested all members of the public to call the hotline in case of any violations or negative behavior.

 In Dubai, meanwhile, free parking is  allowed on Sundays. Parking must be paid for on Fridays. But parking will be free on public holidays. The new order also stipulates that parking must be paid for 14 hours from 8am to 10pm on Mondays to Saturdays.
