THERE WILL BE NO FOURTH DOSE OF BOOSTER VACCINE, SAUDI REJECTS CAMPAIGN

Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Health has rejected a campaign in the country to provide a fourth dose of the Covid vaccine. The explanation comes in the wake of rumors circulating in the country that a fourth dose of booster is being given to people over the age of 60.


Saudi Deputy Assistant Minister of Health Dr. Al-Hashimi said the news was baseless. Abdullah Aziri said. He also dismissed speculation about a change in the health status of the booster dose recipient's app. This was reported by the local media in Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia also allowed travelers who did not receive the Covid vaccine from abroad to enter. With this, the requirement for travelers arriving in the country to produce the Covid Vaccination Certificate has been removed. The announcement of more Saudi concessions to ensure entry for all passengers comes against a backdrop of low Covid expansion. 

According to local media reports, the new directive also applies to Umrah pilgrims. Saudi Arabia has waived PCR negative / rapid antigen test results for those entering the country before departure. In addition, institutional quarantine and home quarantine restrictions on entry into Saudi Arabia were lifted.
