OMAN'S MINISTER OF COMMERCE IS LEADING A HIGH-LEVEL DELEGATION TO INDIA

New Delhi: A high-level multi-sectoral delegation led by Oman's Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion Khais bin Mohammed Al Yousaf is visiting India. The 48-member delegation includes business representatives and senior executives from the healthcare, pharmaceuticals, mining, tourism, telecommunications, energy, shipping and real estate sectors.


The tenth session of the India-Oman Joint Commission meeting to be held in New Delhi on Wednesday will be attended by senior officials from both sides. The meeting will be chaired by Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, and Khais bin Mohammed Al Youssef, Minister of Oman. The visit of the Omani delegation comes at a crucial time in the 2021-2022 financial year, when bilateral trade between the two countries increased by 82% to US $ 9.94 billion.

The meeting of the India-Oman Joint Business Council on Thursday will be jointly organized by FICCI and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Ministers from both countries will witness the meeting. Oman is also hosting a number of events in New Delhi and Mumbai, including B2B events, industry interactions and investor meetings.
