THE JEDDAH MUNICIPALITY CLOSED 120 LABOR CAMPS IN VIOLATION OF LAW

Riyadh: The Jeddah Municipality has closed 120 labor camps in violation of the rules set for crowded places. The closure comes as inspections are being carried out to ensure compliance with the law. 


The municipality has so far conducted 630 inspection visits in collaboration with the Jeddah Governorate. Many residences have been fined for not escaping the penalty of closure. Municipal officials also demanded that establishments that house workers in violation of the law be corrected as soon as possible to avoid fines. 

Inspections will continue in the labor camps to ensure that the instructions of the Municipal Ministry are complied with. It is also aimed at protecting public health and improving living standards, municipal officials said.
