ABU DHABI PENSION FUND, 4.4 BILLION DIRHAMS OF INSURANCE BENEFITS DISBURSED DURING 2021

Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Pension Fund announced the value of pensions and insurance benefits that it disbursed during 2021, amounting to 4.4 billion dirhams, including 3.3 billion dirhams of retirement pensions, and 1.1 billion dirhams under the "other benefits" item.


The fund's statistics showed that the total number of insured citizens reached 92,746 insured persons until the end of last year, working for 1,659 employers registered with the fund, while the number of retirees reached 13,749 retirees.

In its recently issued annual report, the Fund stated that citizens registered with the Fund enjoy many retirement benefits, including "pensions, end-of-service benefits, rewards for a service period of more than (25) years, in addition to total or partial disability compensation. injury.”

The report indicated that the Fund's work team succeeded in raising the percentage of contributions collected from the contributions due within the specified time, as a result of adopting a number of developmental measures, the most important of which is the Smart Contributions project, which contributed to raising the indicators of commitment to pay contributions, explaining that the percentage of collection of due pension contributions on time. It rose to 99.83%.
