PRICES FOR AIRLINE TRAVEL EXPECTED TO INCREASE BY TWOFOLD IN OCTOBER

Dubai: With Dussehra and Diwali celebrations coming up, air ticket prices will double again in October, according to reports. Travel agents say they have started receiving booking inquiries to major destinations including Dubai ahead of this season.


Diwali celebrations begin on October 24 and Dussehra in North India falls on October 24. Airlines will repeat their habit of increasing ticket prices tenfold during festive seasons this season as well. Travel agencies in the UAE say that the price of air tickets will double but increase. Generally, this is the time when the number of tourists from North India to UAE increases.

As the number of flights between India and UAE is unlikely to increase during this period, air ticket prices will start moving upwards as the number of passengers increases. According to reports, there will be a rush of passengers from various cities in North India. 

But for those who are planning to travel home and back in October, the best way to avoid the price increase is to book tickets as early as possible. Those who decide to travel at the last minute and book tickets may end up shelling out a lot of money for the tickets.
