Hajj Pilgrimage: Saudi Ministry Warns Against Illegal Hajj Service Providers

  • 10/04/2025

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued a strong warning to all pilgrims, urging them to stay vigilant against scams by unauthorized Hajj service providers. In an official statement, the ministry advised both Saudi citizens and expatriates to avoid believing misleading advertisements found on social media or unofficial websites.

All Hajj visas, according to the ministry, must be obtained through the official 'Nusooq' Hajj platform or via authorized Hajj Affairs offices in over 80 countries. For domestic pilgrims within Saudi Arabia, Hajj packages should only be booked through the 'Nusooq' app or its official website.

To assist and verify information, the ministry has recommended contacting the 'Guests of God Care Center'. Pilgrims inside Saudi Arabia can call 1966, while those outside can reach +966920002814. Inquiries can also be sent via email to care@haj.gov.sa.

The ministry emphasizes that dealing with unlicensed agents not only risks financial loss but also legal consequences and the potential denial of pilgrimage access.
