During its annual summer campaign to enforce the ban on outdoor work during the hottest hours of the day, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development uncovered more than 2,000 violations. These infractions were identified through over 17,000 field inspections conducted between June 15 and August 26. The initiative, which is implemented every year to protect workers from extreme heat and potential sunstroke, is a key part of the kingdom's efforts to ensure occupational safety.

The ministry collaborated with the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health to enforce the regulation. As part of the campaign, they also distributed awareness materials to both employers and workers, emphasizing the importance of compliance. Additionally, the ministry addressed over 300 public complaints related to violations of the midday work ban, resolving them in line with the established protocols.

This enforcement drive is integral to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals, which include raising labor standards and ensuring a safe, healthy work environment for all. The ministry has reaffirmed its commitment to taking strict action against any entity that fails to comply with the regulations, underscoring the nation's dedication to upholding workers' rights and safety.
