The Grand Mosque in Mecca was completely cleaned in just 35 minutes, despite the presence of tens of thousands of worshippers and I'tikaf participants. The General Authority for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques announced that 3,500 workers operate round the clock to maintain cleanliness using 12 special washing machines and 679 cleaning devices. During Ramadan, an estimated 70 tons of waste, including Iftar leftovers, are collected and removed daily to ensure a hygienic environment for pilgrims.

To accommodate the large influx of worshippers, authorities have implemented measures to control crowding, including 196 access points and five main gates for smooth entry and exit. Additionally, 200 digital surveillance screens have been installed throughout the Haram’s courtyards. Over 4.9 million Iftar meals have already been distributed, with Zamzam water consumption reaching 8,393 cubic meters. These efforts aim to provide a safe and comfortable experience for the guests of the Holy Mosque during the blessed month of Ramadan.
