Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has launched a comprehensive campaign to enhance its investment landscape by attracting international talent and businesses to its special economic zones (SEZs).
The initiative, spearheaded by the Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority (ECZA), is being implemented in partnership with the Zakat, Taxation and Customs Authority, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Key features include simplified visa procedures, tax incentives, and regulatory enhancements.
This strategic move aims to position SEZs as competitive global hubs for logistics, technology, and manufacturing by offering customs and tax breaks, removing financial equivalency requirements for international talent, and streamlining administrative processes.
To improve legal support and business confidence, the campaign also includes the establishment of mediation and conciliation centers within SEZs in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice and the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration.
Additionally, agreements with the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) will facilitate easier market access for imported goods and services.
This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, focusing on economic diversification, innovation, and attracting top global talent to drive growth and development.
