As millions of Muslims prepare for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has confirmed its full readiness with a series of initiatives aimed at improving the pilgrim experience.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has simplified the issuance of temporary work permits through the "Ajeer" platform, making it easier for businesses to hire seasonal workers needed during Hajj. Additionally, Hajj and Umrah work visas have been made more accessible to ensure that a stable workforce is available at the holy sites.
Authorities will also strengthen inspections to ensure proper working conditions and compliance with labor laws for all employees working during the pilgrimage.
The Ministry is expanding the range of social services available at the holy sites, offering family counseling and children's hospitality centers staffed by trained professionals.
Volunteering will play a major role this year, with volunteers providing assistance at border entry points, guiding pilgrims inside the Grand Mosque, supporting the elderly and disabled, and distributing food and water across pilgrimage areas.
These initiatives reflect Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the Hajj experience and ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of all pilgrims.
