Qatar has achieved a remarkable milestone by ranking 8th globally and first among Arab nations in the 2025 Quality of Life Index published by the American magazine CEOWORLD. With a score of 96.66, Qatar has even surpassed the United States, which ranks 9th on the list.
The ranking evaluates 199 countries based on ten key factors, including stability, transparency, healthcare, safety, and environmental friendliness.
Among Arab countries, the UAE ranks second and holds the 26th global position, while Saudi Arabia is third regionally and 40th worldwide.
The top five countries globally are Monaco (1st), Liechtenstein (2nd), Luxembourg (3rd), Ireland (4th), and Switzerland (5th). Singapore ranks 7th, making it the top country in Asia, followed closely by Qatar.
India holds the 145th position with a score of 60.81, falling behind Bangladesh and well below other Asian nations like Japan (37th) and South Korea (38th). Pakistan is ranked 167th.
At the bottom of the index are Burundi, Madagascar, Afghanistan, South Sudan, and Sierra Leone.
The Quality of Life Index highlights significant disparities across the globe, with smaller European nations dominating the top ranks and developing nations occupying the lower spots.
